Mablethorpe – A Coastal Town with Golden Sands and Wildlife

The golden Blue Flag beach along the coast defines Mablethorpe. Tourists flock to the sands from all over the UK, but there’s a lot more to see in Mablethorpe than just the beach. There’s also a seal rescue sanctuary and wildlife centre, a fairground, crazy golf and an aqua park nearby. This location will be a favourite for the family to visit. Mablethorpe Beach

This award-winning beach is a must visit if you’re making a trip to Mablethorpe. It’s a favourite for tourists. This sandy beach is a perfect day out for the whole family. If you like water sports, this is the place for you. It’s a great place for swimming, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, and windsurfing. The beach features gentle tides, and there’s a lifeguard service operating in the summer.

The golden sands are close to a fairground full of thrilling rides, or an outdoor crazy golf zone. Nearby there is an array of cafe’s, or traditional British fish and chip shops, so you can fill your stomachs. On the beach, you can also take a trip on the sand train or go for a walk along the promenade and admire the beach chalets.

The Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre

Just to the north of Mablethorpe lies The Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre. There’s a nearby breeding colony at Donna Nook. The centre rescues lots of the young seals born there. The variety of animals will delight children to see. They house other animals like meerkats, lynx, monkeys, and goats. An aviary houses emus, cockatiels, chickens, and more.

The centre features a ‘Time Walking’ zone where visitors can walk past dinosaur fossils and look at other extinct megafauna. It offers the opportunity to see animals that used to live on the British Isles but have since become extinct. It’s a great day out for the family, with a café to stop in for lunch.

Lincolnshire Aquapark

The aqua park is one of the UK’s biggest and is currently being extended. So soon it’ll be 25% larger! A trip here will be an action-packed day filled with paddle boarding, kayaking, or there are pedalos if you’re looking for something at a slower pace.

There are loads of inflatable equipment that’ll excite anyone. Visitors get the chance to take part in a Total Wipeout course, or climb into a giant cyclone. If you want to take a trip to the aqua park, remember you can only book online. So visit the website and book soon so you don’t miss out!

Mablethorpe is an excellent place to visit to keep the kids occupied. There are holiday parks where you can stay for a few days to really make use of this tourist town. If you like busy beaches with plenty to do, this is the place for you. It’s a must see on a trip through Lincolnshire.
